History of Veil Cover By Veil History of Veil Veil Cover Cream was an early leader in the field of Cosmetic Camouflage. Our Founder was a forward-looking and inspired cosmetic chemist called Thomas Blake. At the request of a pioneering plastic surgeon who specialised in treating badly burned British and American pilots after World War 2, Thomas Blake was asked to formulate a cover cream that would camouflage post-operative scars. Veil Cover Cream was first formulated in 1952. It was an immediate success in the new field of remedial camouflage and for over 50 years we have been helping people with many different types of skin blemish to look good and feel good. We still follow the original unique manufacturing process using pure and simple raw materials which make Veil effective and easy to use. The range of shades has been expanded since those early days so that we can now offer a wide range of natural skin shades to suit all skin tones. Veil is widely recommended in hospital dermatology and skin clinics as well as leading beauty salons and we hope that these pages will show you how to help yourself to cover skin blemishes of all kinds.
