Red Alert Serum is clinically proven to reduce chronic erythema, skin reactivity to environmental aggressors and other redness aggravating stimuli. It also helps achieve measurable improvements in the appearance of lines and wrinkles, skin elasticity and firmness, enlarged pores and conspicuous discolouration. The overall skin radiance, texture and smoothness is also enhanced. 

Topical use of teprenone in a cosmeceutical composition, such as Red Alert Serum, reduces the skin cells sensitivity and maintains the skin in a generally healthy condition. This powerful active effectively limits the negative impact of biological stressors on the skin. Not only does it block the release of pro-inflammatory stimuli at the skin cells level, but can also promote protective mechanisms for skin cell’s  DNA, extending the life of each skin cell for a third longer than that without the Teprenone application. This activity is patented worldwide.

Red Alert Serum is intended to prevent and heal existing erythrosis (redness) but has also shown highly beneficial ‘side effects’ such as: diminishment of the size of wrinkles line and bags, significant decrease in trans-epidermal water loss and consequent improvement in skin firmness, elasticity and smoothness. Moreover, Red Alert Serum actively reduces the appearance of UV sunspots and enlarged pores as well as balances the skin pH.

It is not known exactly how Teprenone works. Orginally a molecule used in the treatment of gastic ulcers, it produced incredible anti-redness results when used topically in investigative trials. It has now been approved as active for cosmetic use. Studies show that Teprenone extends the life of the cell's telomeres (part of the chromosome) which effectively means the cells can divide for longer without dying. The skin literally 'becomes' more youthful. This may be why the skin's vascular compenents (capiliaries) become more resiliant and less visible. However alternative theories suggest that skin is thickening and the redness is just less visible. Still others beleive that skin cells merely become less sensitive to histamine release and consequentially do not 'flare-up'. Whatever the mechanism, what is not in dispute is the degree of real redness reduction.

Red Alert Serum has been formulated for direct skin application.

Directions

In the morning, after cleansing, use the integrated dropper to apply Red Alert Serum directly to the face. Alternatively, place a drop on your finger and then blend into the skin. Red Alert Serum can be used all over the face or on specific areas of redness or rosacea.

Follow the application with an SPF hydrator.
