About half of catechins found inside Green Tea are EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) which has been found to be twice as powerful as resveratrol, an antioxidant found in red wine. The Green Tea Extract therefore has 20X more anti-oxidant power as compared to Vitamin C, providing superior protection against harmful UV rays by donating electrons to the free radicals, hence rendering them less harmful and reducing UV-related photo-ageing which is mainly responsible for most signs of pre-mature aging.
