Actiplus blends the clinically-proven, long-term action of botanicals with the immediate effects of alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), and meadowsweet extract, a naturally rich source of salicylic acid (which is a clinical beta hydroxy acid or BHA). Actiplus also contains hydrocotyl extract which is clinically proven to strengthen the skin, promote connective tissue vascularization and increase collagen synthesis. Studies have shown that alpha and beta hydroxy acids are versatile anti-aging ingredients, which provide immediate exfoliation and long-term skin benefits. In a clinical study, an Actiplus solution was compared with a salicylic acid control solution (at maximum allowed concentrations); the Actiplus solution yielded a 27.8% increase in cell renewal versus the 21.2% increase with the salicylic acid solution.
