This double action fading product fights in a natural and gentle way, pigmentation, age spots and enhances an overall lightening of skin tone.
Although there is the same amount of melanocytes in all skin tones, there are two important differences:

1. Melanocytes of people with darker skin tone are more active = producing more melanin.
2. Also, in the epidermis of humans with darker skin tone, enzymes do not destroy melanin, which happens with lighter skin tone (e.g. when tan is fading after holidays).

Therefore true reasons for darker skin tone:

·         Increased melanin production.

·         Dramatically reduced decomposition of existing melanin.

2-Phase Visible Fading Out, an exciting new functional concept, represents an important advance in the rapidly expanding product category of skin-lightening agents. As a result of considerable research and developmental effort, 2-Phase Visible Fading Out is the outgrowth of an innovative and biophysical consideration that affects its numerous pathways.

The primary mechanism of action involved here is tyrosinase inhibition.  Tyrosinase is the rate-limiting enzyme for melanin synthesis and defects in the enzyme activity. It can lead to albinism in humans.  Differences in human skin colour may primarily be due to differences in tyrosinase activity in melanocytes from varying skin types. Melanocytes derived from dark skin have up to ten times more tyrosinase activity and produce up to ten times more melanin than do melanocytes from lighter skin.

However, the higher level of tyrosinase activity in melanocytes derived from dark skin is not due to a greater abundance of tyrosinase. The number of tyrosinase molecules present in lighter skin tone melanocytes is equal to the one found in highly pigmented dark skin types. In dark skin, melanin persists within the horny layer and leaves the skin in the end by natural desquamation, where as in lighter skin the pigment is degraded in the granular layer, probably via a specific enzymatic process.  That means stratum corneum of lighter skin does not contain any melanin.

Newest research also showed us, that certain flavonoids block the enzyme protein-kinase, leading to the inactivity of tyrosinase during sun exposure which we integrated recently in this product cocktail.

Double-blind study on 42 participants, 18 to 45 years of age, with dark and very dark complexion showing significant de-pigmenting efficacy after 8 weeks of treatment.

At the same time the active ingredients acting on cell turnover and skin aging in a positive way!

Function / Specificities

2-Phase Visible Fading Out. The strongest skin lightener available anywhere. pH 4,6

·         Gradually slows down melanin production, preventing darkening of the skin.

·         Encourages a gradual lightening of over-pigmentation, age spots and freckles.

·         Inhibits tyrosinase, the skin-activator responsible for melanin production

·         Deals with short-term evening-out pigmentation problems.

·         Speeds up cell turnover cycle and prevents skin aging.

Active Ingredients

Fluid Phase:

·         Mulberry Extract (Morus Alba Root Extract) a carefully guarded secret in the Asiatic community, cherished over the centuries for skin lightening properties.

·         Dermawhite Combination of tyrosinase inhibitors Waltheria Indica and Ferulic Acid as well as the Hydroxy-Acids Citric Acid and Sodium Gluconate, exfoliating agents helping skin absorption of the plant extract, leading to an improved efficiency. Dermawhite acts on melanocytes as well as on cell turnover and skin aging. 

Powder Phase:

·         Sodium-Ascorbyl-Phosphate the only stable form of Vitamin C - for skin lightening and bleaching of existing pigmentation. Helps to dissolve and disburse existing melanin throughout the skin.

How to use

2-Phase Visible Fading Out is designed to be use every evening for a minimum period of six weeks. Prior to application, the skin should be cleansed, toned and regularly exfoliated. One vial is to be used each week. (The presentation box comes with 6 vials, enough for the 6 weeks treatment.) Simply push down the top nozzle on the vial and the powder trickles into the fluid, activating the product. Then shake well and apply. 

Please Note: It is mandatory to use a high SPF during the day (e.g. our Lightening or Tinted Day Protection, or Optimal Tinted Complexion Cream  because melanin provides protection from harmful sunlight and 2-Phase Visible Fading Out inhibits the skin's melanin production.
